
(Blairs, VA) – Volunteer fire crews across Pittsylvania County had a very busy Thursday. According to a Facebook post from Blairs Fire and Rescue members of their team were called just before noon to assist with a fire at a two story home in Callands. Two pieces of equipment and 6 crew members were dispatched to assist.
While crews were on scene of that fire another call came across for a brush fire in their primary duty area. Two more pieces of equipment and 8 crew members responded to put out that fire with assistance from Mount Hermon, Ringgold, Chatham, and the VA Department of Forestry.
