
On Wednesday afternoon a wall collapsed during construction at the new Halifax County High School and hit one of the workers. According to the Gazette-Virginian, the man was working on a lift when the 30-foot wall fell and hit him.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries from the wall collapsing. The cause of the wall collapsing is still under investigation.
The new Halifax County High School is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2025-26 school year.
