Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by a penny this week compared to last week to $2.84 a gallon, According to AAA, while the average price of gas across the county is up by three cents this week to $2.90.

The average price of gas in Danville remained the same this week at $2.67, while the average in Pittsylvania County also remained the same this week at $2.73 a gallon. The average price in Martinsville is down by two cents this week to $2.72 a gallon and in Henry County the average price fell by a nickel this week to $2.69 a gallon. The average price in Halifax County dropped by nine cents this week to $2.77 a gallon.
