(Danville, Va.) – The Danville School Board is looking to fill a vacancy following the death earlier this month of longtime member Dr. Ed Polhamus. Polhamus had served on the school board for 14 years before his death on October 13. He was a retired math professor at Danville Community College.

The Danville City School Board is seeking applicants interested in completing the remainder of Polhamus’ term. Applicants must be a registered voter and live in the city of Danville.
