(Pulaski County, Va.) – A Halifax man is dead following a single-vehicle accident in Pulaski County.

Virginia State Police officers responded to a tractor-trailer accident on I-81 around 1:40 p.m. Friday. Troopers say a rig driven by 57-year-old Nathan Berkley of Halifax ran off the right side the road around the 99 mile marker and overturned.

Berkley died at the scene. State Police said he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

His tractor-trailer was loaded with paper products.
