WASHINGTON — You can add the description “political pundit” to Terry McAuliffe’s resume. The former Virginia governor who recently announced he would not run for president has now accepted a job CNN as a commentator.

The former head of the Democratic National Committee announced via Twitter that he has signed an agreement with the cable news network to provide political commentary.

McAuliffe announced earlier that he would not seek the Democratic nomination for president because he was “devoting his time and resources to helping elect Democrats to the General Assembly.”

Every seat in the state legislature is on the ballot this year, as Virginia Democrats work to wrest control of the General Assembly.
