Humberto has now become the third hurricane in the Atlantic this season.

The storm joins Barry and Dorian as the other two hurricanes this 2019 season. Winds are now sustained at 75 mph and is moving slowly NE at 3 mph. This NE motion is expected to shift more to the East and accelerate away from the US mainland.

Humberto is moving away from the Bahamas and is expected to become a Category 2 hurricane later in the week.

While the storm is not expected to come ashore, its swells could still affect the coasts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina in the coming days.
