MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. – A Mecklenburg County man in his 50s is Virginia’s latest case of the coronavirus.
This is the first case in the Southside Virginia Health District, which is comprised of Halifax, Mecklenburg and Brunswick counties.
The man had contact with a person in another part of Virginia who was diagnosed with COVID-19, according to health officials.
He is now isolated at home and his health is being monitored.
There are now 121 “presumptively positive” cases of the coronavirus in Virginia as of March 20, according to the Virginia Department of Health. 35 additional tests are now being processed.
