DANVILLE, Va. – City Manager Ken Larking is taking additional measures in the wake of the economic disruption caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19):

The City will suspend the $50 delinquent account fee for all utility customer classes until further notice. The delinquent account fee is the fee charged for nonpayment 35 days after the due date.

Restaurants may defer the payment of their February meals tax collection, ordinarily due on March 31, for one month with no penalty.

Hotels may defer the payment of their February occupancy and room night taxes, ordinarily due on March 31, for one month with no penalty.
