A man suspected of being a child predator who was wanted in two Virginia counties was nabbed over the weekend. Eddie Monroe Crawford was arrested around 5 Saturday afternoon. He was wanted in Orange County and Greene County for sexually violent crimes including rape and forcible sodomy. The search for Crawford began after a report of a possible sexual assault of a minor in Orange County last Wednesday. That report led to a joint investigation between Orange and Greene County’s Sheriff’s Offices. Crawford was taken into custody, and he is now behind bars in theCentral Virginia Regional Jail where he is being held without bond.
