Virginia has new laws to regulate use of farm vehicle placards. According to the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation the new laws will make it harder for non-farmers to get the placards which allows for waiving some of Virginia’s vehicle registration process. Beginning in July of 2023 farmers will obtain placards from the Department of Motor Vehicles and they will have unique identifications so they are non-transferable.
