Construction continues on the new Danville Police headquarters and the department is now targeting July 1 as its move-in date. Deputy Chief Dean Hairston tells the Register & Bee that the pandemic along with supply chain issues pushed back the completion date by several months. Hairston says they expect to get the certificate of occupancy this month. The new HQ is at the former Dan River Inc. executive building off Memorial Drive.
