The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s office continues to investigate Sunday’s shooting at a Kerns Church Road gathering which resulted in one death and 7 injuries. 20-year-old Jerome White of Danville died at the hospital and according to the Register & Bee 2 others remained hospitalized in stable condition as of Sunday afternoon. The other victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. According to investigators it’s not clear what led up to the shooting but it is being treated as a homicide.
