A man from Danville is killed Sunday evening after being struck while walking along Piney Forest Road. Police say Raymond Saunders stepped into traffic in front of Walmart and was hit by a pick-up truck. The pickup’s driver told investigators he was not able to avoid hitting Saunders. No charges are pending. A GoFundMe page is set up to pay Saunders’ funeral expenses.
