Pittsylvania County officials announce that just over $520,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding is allocated to 15 fire and rescue agencies for debt servicing, station upgrades, revenue loss and equipment. In 2021 the Board of Supervisors voted to allocate $1 million of the County’s ARPA funding to those agencies. Board Chairman Vic Ingram says volunteers invest so much of their time, expertise, and energy in serving the County so it’s an honor to be able to give back to help them do that.
