The Danville School Division is investing $140 million for upgrades at several buildings and building a new school. According to the Star-Tribune a portion of the budget is coming from the 1% sales tax increase passed by city voters last fall. Sales tax revenues will also aid the school division in replacing G.L.H. Johnson Elementary School. Just over 10% of the budget is coming from federal and state grants.
