Greene’s Crossing Landing in South Boston along with six other trails were across the state have been awarded funds through the Recreational Trails Program.

According to the Virginia Department of  Conservation and Recreation website, the Recreational Trails Program is a matching reimbursement program for building and rehabilitating trails and trail facilities. It also assists with land acquisition for trail projects. The Federal Highway Administration provides the program’s funding.

Greene’s Crossing Landing in South Boston, was awarded $103,068.25 through the program.
