A 42-year-old Union Hall man drowned at Smith Mountain Lake on Saturday. According to WSET, the drowning happened in the 200 block of Winding Way Road in Union Hall when a man that was intoxicated fell off of a boat and couldn’t be found.

A dive team found the deceased body and the man was identified as Ryan Adams. The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke and it remains an ongoing investigation.
