Republican Robert Good has been projected to win reelection in the US House of Representatives 5th District race over Democratic challenger Joshua Throneburg. With 339 of 378 precincts reporting Good has landed 61.42% of the vote and leads Throneburg by over 60,000 votes.

Throneburg did defeat Good in Danville by 767 votes with 18 of 19 precincts having reported. However, Good defeated Throneburg in Pittsylvania County by almost 12,000 votes, landing 74.85% of the votes with 31 of 32 precincts being counted.

Good first won the seat in 2020 election when he beat Cameron Webb by 5.14%.
