The bodies of two boaters that had been missing since Monday afternoon were recovered today at Smith Mountain Lake. Following the recovery officials have now identified the two men as 21-year-old Landon Oakes and 20-year-old Zachary Travis, both of Danville.

The two men went missing after their boat capsized on Monday afternoon at around 3:50. Dive teams focused their search in the vicinity of the Anthony Ford boat ramp in Penhook.

The two bodies were found within an hour of the search starting on Thursday morning. Crews used a 360 sonar to help find them.
