The Martinsville Police Department has recently implemented their new speed trailer to effectively monitor and address speeding concerns within the city.

The speed trailer is equipped to capture and relay drivers’ speeds instantly to the police department, enabling the creation of comprehensive reports based on this data.

From July 31st to August 14th, the speed trailer was strategically positioned in two locations along Church Street in Uptown Martinsville.

While the majority of drivers adhere to responsible speed limits, the report highlights the presence of a few drivers who exceed dangerous speed thresholds beyond the established limits.

This invaluable information serves the crucial purpose of aiding the police department in pinpointing areas necessitating heightened traffic enforcement measures.
