A second suspect has been arrested for a Henry County homicide. On Friday the Henry County Sheriff’s Office announced that 44-years-old Louis Jerrell Webb, of Ferrum, was arrested for the murder of 46-year-old Michael Jerome Hairston.

Webb has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On October 23 at 7:28 am, the Martinsville-Henry County 911 Communication Center received a call to conduct a well-being check at 84 Summit View Drive, Apartment 1, Martinsville, VA 24112. Deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, they entered the apartment, where they located a deceased male inside the residence. The deceased male was identified as Michael Jerome Hairston. He resided at this apartment.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Hairston arrived home on October 21, at approximately 5:12 pm. At approximately 7:08 p.m., two individuals arrived at the residence and appeared to go inside the apartment at 84 Summit View Drive.
Several minutes later, both individuals are seen running from the apartment. These individuals appear to be male and
female. This was recorded on a neighbor’s doorbell camera.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect vehicle, a 2008 Audi, had been captured on video leaving the area after the homicide occurred. Henry County Sheriff’s Office investigators, with the assistance of the Roanoke Police Department, were able to locate the vehicle and operator in Roanoke.
It was determined that Angelina Spade was the female shown in the neighbor’s security footage. Angelina was arrested and charged on October 31.
Louis Webb is currently being held in New River Valley Regional Jail without a bond on an unrelated charge.
