Three occupants were displaced following a house fire in Danville on Monday night. The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 225 N. Woodberry Ave. at 8:48 pm.

The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking. The fire burned the kitchen in the right-rear of the home, and caused heavy smoke and heat damage throughout the remainder of the home.

The three occupants of the home were not injured and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

There was a total of three fire engines, one ladder truck, one safety vehicle, and one command unit.  There were a total of 15 fire department personnel, 3 Danville Life Saving Crew members, and three police officers on scene.
