Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality.  The crash occurred Friday, (Mar 15) at 6:24 a.m. on Route 220, two tenths of a mile south of White House Road in Henry County.

A 2018 Kia Soul was traveling on Route 220, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

The driver of the Kia was identified as Jennifer Marie Stokes, 61, of Greensboro, NC. Stokes was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
