One person was killed and another was injured during a shooting in Martinsville early Sunday morning. The Martinsville Police Department responded to the shooting in the 1400 block of Rivermont Heights at around 2:30 am.

According to reports a fight broke out during a gathering at the house and at least two people fired weapons. 19-year-old Iviyan Dandridge later died at the hospital from her injuries. Another person was treated and released for a gunshot wound.
