Supply-chain issues are causing a delay in Danville’s battery storage project. According to the Register & Bee it’s beacuse of COVID-19 restrictions in China that are extending lead times for the batteries to be used for storing power at the Monument Street site. Danville Utilities officials say the batteries shipped this week and are to arrive by the second week in August. The site was planned to be online in May.
