Danville-based God’s Pit Crew volunteers and staff are deploying to Buchanan County to help victims of this week’s flooding that destroyed over 100 homes. The Immediate Response Team will stay through July 26 to help survivors. Volunteers will cut trees, remove debris, and muck out and dry flooded homes. The nonprofit is sending a tractor-trailer loaded with emergency supplies, including water, food and personal and hygiene items.
