The Danville Police Department is recognizing an officer that arrested a home invasion suspect. On Tuesday, the department named Officer A. Bolling as the Patrol Officer of the Month for July.

According to the department, Officer Bolling responded to a home invasion and after getting through the door he observed an armed suspect on the floor. Bolling was able to unarm and detain the suspect.

After detaining the suspect, Bolling located two victims that were suffering from multiple stab wounds. The two victims were transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.

The suspect was charged with malicious wounding, breaking and entering with the intent to commit assault and property damage.

The department also recognized Investigator J. Motley as the Specialty Officer of the Month. Motley focuses on reducing violent crime by pursuing individuals engage in armed narcotics trafficking.

Investigator Motley has led multiple investigations that have resulted in a number of seizures.
