Average gas prices across Virginia climbed by two cents to $3.59 a gallon, while the national average jumped four cents to $3.88. The average price in Danville is up by a penny to $3.41 a gallon and the average in Pittsylvania County jumped eight cents to $3.53.

In Martinsville the average price remained unchanged at $3.46 and the average price in Henry County is up two cents to $3.48. Prices in Halifax County climbed by six cents to $3.58.
