Average gas prices across Virginia dropped slightly this week by two cents from a week ago to $3.12 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country fell by seven cents to $3.29.

The average price of gas in Danville remained the same from last week at $2.96, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by four cents to $3.04 a gallon. In Martinsville the average price is down by seven cents to $3.02 and in Henry County the average dipped by nine cents to $3.00.

Average prices in Halifax County are down by seven cents from last week to $3.23 a gallon.
