Average gas prices across Virginia are down by two cents from last week to $2.92 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a penny to $3.06 a gallon.

Prices across the southside mostly remained unchanged. The average price of gas in Danville is remained the same from last week at $2.81, while the average price in Pittsylvania County also remained the same at $2.91 a gallon. In Martinsville the average price is also unchanged at $2.87, while in Henry County the average price is up by two cents to $2.89.

Average prices in Halifax County are up by three cents to $2.90 a gallon.
