God’s Pit Crew is announcing a new partnership with Walmart that will make it simple for shoppers to directly support families and communities impacted by natural disasters across the nation.

Beginning Monday, May 11, 2026, God’s Pit Crew and Walmart will officially launch the God’s Pit Crew Relief Registry Powered by Walmart, a new turn-key initiative that allows Walmart shoppers and ministry supporters to purchase urgently needed supplies directly through a secure Walmart Registry.  The online registries will provide a simple way for donors to give tangible items that are specifically needed in areas where God’s Pit Crew is actively serving following hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, wildfires, and other major disasters.

The God’s Pit Crew Relief Registry will be available through the Walmart app on mobile devices and by visiting Walmart.com, creating an innovative new way for shoppers to immediately respond when disaster strikes.

As a fully donor-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization now in its 27th year of operation, God’s Pit Crew depends on donated resources to provide life-changing relief to individuals and families facing unimaginable loss.  Through this new partnership, supporters will be able to purchase critical supplies that will be shipped directly to God’s Pit Crew headquarters and distributed where they are needed most.

The donated items will help support multiple areas of the ministry’s outreach, including God’s Pit Crew’s Building Projects team, which provides fully furnished homes at no cost to families displaced by disaster.  Needed items such as bedding, cleaning supplies, bathroom necessities, linens, kitchen utensils, and other daily essentials can be purchased through the registry and placed directly into homes for families rebuilding their lives.

The registry lists will also support the ministry’s Blessing Bucket program, which provides immediate necessities to disaster survivors in the critical days after tragedy.  Each Blessing Bucket contains more than 30 essential items, including nonperishable food, personal hygiene supplies, cleaning products, a first aid kit, and a Bible.

“This new partnership with Walmart is an incredible blessing for the families we serve,” said God’s Pit Crew President and Founder, Randy Johnson.  “Walmart has stood beside God’s Pit Crew with support for many years, and we are deeply thankful for the launch of this program that will strengthen the process of getting urgently needed help into areas that have been severely impacted by disaster.  This gives people a simple and secure way to become part of providing hope when it’s needed most.”

“We are grateful for God’s Pit Crew and the compassion they show to communities in need,” said Jade White, Walmart South Central Virginia Market Manager.  “The work they do directly reflects Walmart’s core purpose of helping people live better one community at a time.  We are honored to help create a new way for our customers and associates to support this meaningful mission.”

To celebrate the launch of the initiative, Walmart associates, God’s Pit Crew representatives, and members of the Danville community will gather on Monday, May 11, at the Walmart at Mount Cross located at 515 Mount Cross Road in Danville, Virginia, where one of God’s Pit Crew’s disaster relief tractor-trailers will be on site.

Community members and shoppers that day are invited to tour the equipment and see firsthand how donations are transformed into immediate help for those recovering from disaster.

The God’s Pit Crew Relief Registry Powered by Walmart will officially go live on May 11, 2026.  Supporters can access the lists by visiting GodsPitCrew.org/Walmart.

All donated items purchased through the registry will be securely shipped directly to God’s Pit Crew headquarters, where ministry representatives will coordinate distribution to disaster areas and families in need.

As severe weather outbreaks continue to plague various parts of the nation, God’s Pit Crew continues response efforts in multiple states.  For more information regarding the ministry’s ongoing disaster relief efforts, further details are available by visiting GodsPitCrew.org or by calling (434) 836-4472 and speaking with a God’s Pit Crew representative.
