A Franklin County grain milling operation receives a $10,000 grant from Virginia’s Agriculture and Forestry Industry Development Fund Infrastructure Grant Program. The money is awarded to Green Sprig Ag which is operated by a 5th generation farmer and produces both feed and food grade grains. The grant will enable facility upgrades to more efficiently process grains entering the food system. The company will renovate an existing building to clean, store and process grain.
